Samantha’s experience is both diverse and deeply rooted in family law. She previously externed for the Presiding Judge of the Domestic Relations Division in Cook County, The Honorable Regina Scannicchio, where she conducted legal research on the Illinois Marriage and Dissolution of Marriage Act (IMDMA) and the Illinois Code of Civil Procedure. In this role she gained firsthand insight into how the law protects survivors of domestic violence. Also during law school, as a law clerk at Taege Law Offices, she tackled complex family law matters, researching critical issues in child support, parenting time, and emotional support animals while refining her skills in case management and client advocacy.

Samantha’s academic credentials reflect her exceptional work ethic and commitment to excellence. She graduated cum laude from the University of Illinois at Chicago School of Law, earning Dean’s List recognition every semester from Fall 2022 through Spring 2024. She also received the prestigious Dean’s Scholarship and was awarded a CALI Excellence for the Future Award for her extensive research on how the Illinois Domestic Violence Act interacts with family law statutes. A skilled litigator, she competed in the Chicago Bar Association Moot Court Competition, where her team’s brief secured 2nd place. Before law school, she earned her bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Psychology from Illinois State University, graduating in May 2021.
